Popular for her ‘Merilis’ single “Antara Anyer dan Jakarta” (1980), she is one and only Dato’ Sheila Majid the ‘Queen of Jazz”. Malaysia’s foremost singing sensation, SHEILA MAJID has continued to hold her rank presence in regional music scene for the last eighteen years.

Early Life

She is the youngest among 8 siblings. She swent to Goodshepherd Kindergarten, Methodist Girls Primary School and Methodist Secondaray School that was in Kuala Lumpur. At first she was married to Roslan Aziz is also a famous musician. They are blessed with two children, Wan Nur Khaleda and Megat Abdul Majid Aziz and remarried with Hashridz Murshim Hassim or known as Acis former keyboard player for Gersang Band after two years being together. They had their third and fourth child together, Khadeja Zaireen Murshim dan Khalefa Laila Murshim.

When growing up, music are part of her life and her family. She starts singing as a hobby. She starts to learn playing piano while she was at the age of 8. She shines with her talents when she sang in an event of her friend when she was 17. At that time her talent start to attract one of the producer with her melodic voice and instantly she was invited for an audition. She was auditioned by Roslan Aziz and was given a contract in 1982.

Achievement

Dato’ Sheila album manage to break in Indonesia market and won the BASF Awards 1987 for the Best Female R&B artist on a song title ‘Emosi’.Dato’ Sheila’s long list of accomplishments as an artist and she continued to inspire young Malaysians to strive forward in their contribution to the Malaysian music industry when she was invited to performs in Japan where she already performs there in the Tokyo Music Festival where all of the Japanese were mesmerize with her unique voice. In 1996, she had won Kembara award in AIM3 and 1997 (AIM4) she for best vocal performance along with best Pop Album.

On a month of July 2000, she had become the first local artiste that have performed at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas. All of the ticket were sold out in just two days. November 2001, she been invite to represent Malaysia in Diva concert S.E.A in Jakarta and the next year October 2003, she also been invited to hold a live concert by TransTV in Malaysia. The programme twas in 2 hours tittles ‘Konsert Perjalanan Seni Sheila Majid’. In 2004, her and her husband, Acis are working together to start their own practice studio known as Akarkarya in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya.

She is best known in the Western world for her roles in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies, playing Wai Lin meanwhile in Hong Kong she is best known for her action and martial artsi in Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon. Her career is a huge success in the international level. Her appearance in the role as Myanmar politician, Aung San Suu Kyi in the film have reveal as a new dimension in her career as an actress.

Early Life

On august 6, 1962 Dato’ Michelle Yeoh was born in Ipoh, Perak known as the Queen of Martial Arts. She had her study in London's Royal Academy of Dance. She was crowned as Miss Malaysia of 1983 at the age of 21. Malay and English were her first languages, followed only later by Cantonese and Mandarin. Dato’ Michelle Yeoh first passion was dancing. She began formal training as a ballerina at the age of four. Her dreams of becoming a prima ballerina were cut short when she suffered a spinal cord injury when she in her college year. However, Dato’ Michelle manage to finished her bachelor's degree in London, focusing on choreography and drama.


Later on she manage to grab the title of Miss Moomba, a beauty pageant in Australia. Her stint as a beauty queen led quickly to television, where she was cast alongside stars Jackie Chan and Chow Yun-Fat in a series of commercials. These appearances led to a multi-film contract with D&B Productions, a company headed by her future husband Dickson Poon.


Achievement

Throughout Dato’ Michelle career she been received numerous of award and honour. One of it is she was awarded as the Darjah Datuk Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP), which gave her the title Dato' by Sultan Azlan Shah, the Sultan of Perak, her home state, in recognition of the fame she brought to the state in 2001. Year later on 25 November, she was honoured as The Outstanding Young Persons of the World (TOYP) (Cultural Achievement) by JCI (Junior Chamber International). More forward, French President Jacques Chirac awarded her Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on 3 October 2007. Meanwhile, in 2011, she received a special award for her contribution to Malaysian cinema at Malaysian Film Festival (FFM 24). Yet again another president of French awarded her the Officier de la Légion d'honneur on 14 March 2012. The decoration was presented to her at a ceremony held at the president's official residence, the Elysee Palace on that day.

Michelle Yeoh received the Excellence in Asian Cinema award during the seventh annual Asian Film Awards on March 2013 in Hong Kong. Additionally, in conjuction with the birthday of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah on June 1, 2013 she was awarded as the Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) which carries the title Tan Sri.

Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza is a popular pop singer in Malaysia and ASEAN countries especially in Indonesia. She is also a songwriter, producer and winner of the 2002 “Voice of Asia” competition. She is known for her modest personality and never been involved in any controversy. In fact, Dato’ Siti also is the founder of Simply Siti Cosmetic product. She is married to Dato' Khalid in 2006.  If Oprah Winfrey has her own network (OWN), Siti had her own channel (Siti)! that only ran for two days on Merdeka Eve. She was the first for any Malaysian artiste manage to have their own network.

Early Life

Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza was born in Berek Polis Kampung Awah, Termerloh, Pahang. She is the fifth child from 8 siblings. When she was a kid, she is call “tomboy” due to the fact that she is very active and tend to dress like a boy. When she was a kindergarten she was send to Sekolah Tabika Perkep in her hometown. In standard 1 until 6, she entered Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Clifford and finally she change her appearance from tomboy to feminim. Dato’ Siti was active in sports when she was in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Clifford starting to form 1 until 5.

Dato’ Siti involvement in singing starts when she and her friends performs in a school ceremony. Other than active in sport activity she also start too active in cultural arts in her school. She start to join singing competition in her hometown when she was 12 years old and won in first place in National Singing Competition singing ‘Bahtera Merdeka’ and starts from there she dared to appear in front of many audience. In 1995, she manage to find her a spot in becoming a recording artist when she was offered by RTM in a Bintang Hiburan Minggu Competition. Despite her dreams was actualy to be a police like her father, she unable to turn down that huge offer. When she won the Juara Bintang HMI, Suria Record company take Dato’ Siti as their new recording artist when she was 16 years old.

Among them are Music Industry Award where she manage to receive 11 award, Juara Lagu, 17 award and Planet Music 11 award. Moreover, in April 1, 2005 she manage to write another glorious history of the country when he emerged as the first Malaysian artiste to make a solo concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

Early Life


All of Puan Rozita Ibrahim achievement did not happen in a blink of an eye. She is known for her previous life that full of poverty and deficiency. Born in Sungai Besar, Selangor she used to be a rubber tapper to support her children. She once gave her baby to drink syrup due to money shortage to buy the milk for the baby. After she been divorce she make her way to town to find any suitable job. She used to work as a receptionist, promotion executive and direct selling company after she make her way when her husband divorce her.

She mortgage her own jewellery and use the money for capital of her Sendayu Tinggi business only with RM400 that base on herbs. At first she only sell her herbs product by house to house. Then she open her own company Sendayu Tinggi Enterprise in year 2000 when she receive many positive feedback from the customer by ranting a store at the Plaza Majlis Pembandaran Klang. she run experiment on herself by fatten herself up and manage to loss back her weight just only using her product.

She was awarded as Usahawan Wanita 2005 by Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia (DPMM).Today Sendayu Tinggi Holdings Sdn Bhd. have 9 franchise which is Sendayu Tinngi Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd, Sendayu Tinggi Body & Skincare (M) Sdn Bhd, C Max Exhibition & Promotion, Sendayu Tinggi Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd, Ethnique Food Industries Sdn Bhd, ST Cosmetics & Fragrances (M) Sdn. Bhd. Sendayu Tinggi also have its own herbs processing factory Sendayu Tinggi Manufacturing (M) Sdn. Bhd for its tranditional product. The amount of Sendayu Tinggi dealer now reach to 2, 000 people around the World including Brunei, Singapore and Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea.

Pandelela Rinong (Diver)

Pandalela was qualified as the first Malaysian athlete for the upcoming 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics in Brazil due to her outstanding performance to finish on the podium in an individual event in the World Aquatics Championships as she manage to grab a bronze medal in the women’s 10m platform individual discipline that was held in Kazan, Russia. Yet, even with her growing popularity as the poster child of Malaysian sports, Pandelela Rinong has managed to keep her feet firmly planted on the ground. Her success in sports of diving will inspire many future Malaysian generation out there.

Early Life

Born in March 2, 1993 in Kampung Jugan, Gau, Sarawak is the Malaysia female divers. Her brother also involving in diving also. She was trained at Bukit Jalil Sports School and was a state diver by age seven. Her talent been observed and later she was recruited by a coaches a year later to pursue diving more seriously.

Later on, Pandelela manage to join a spot of national team when her technique for diving is very skillful that caught the eye of sports scouts after winning a host competition for her home state of Sarawak. It was a huge honor for a 14 year old girl to enter the national team. However, it was a bittersweat moment for Pandelela as she need to be away from her family. Pandelela determination was strong a she put many hours of practice in the pool to perfect her technique. Most kid in that age probaly will never had that kind of spirit like Pandelela have.

Achievement


FINA Diving World Cup in Beijing February 2008 is Pandelela first international event where she finished in the sixth place in the 10-meter platform event. Due to that she manage to earn her a place in the 2008 summer Olympic. Pandelela diving career keep getting better when she had partnered with a ten-year veteran Leong Mun Yee at the world championship in Rome 2009. They manage to bring bronze medal in the 10-meter platform (synchronized) event. A year later, in August at the Youth Olympic in Singapore she had won two silver medals in the 3-meter springboard and 10-meter platforms events.



Two months later, at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, Pandelela won the gold medal in the 10-meter platform competition, edging out leading Australian diver Melissa Wu. Her achievement was the first time a Malaysian athlete won a gold medal in diving. Meanwhile, in World Aquatic Championship in Shanghai 2012, she finished fourth place in 10-meter platform event. Pandelela even beat the number one squash player Datuk Nicole Ann David when she received Country’s sportswoman award in April.

The no.1 professional female squash player in the world one and only Datuk Nicole Ann David as the first Asian female to hold the titles in 2006. Nicole, is one of the sports icon that inspires many young Malaysians to accomplish the achievement that she had gain. She was amazing and has achieved many awards due to her contribution to the country involving squash until now and in the future. The reasons that I Choose Datuk Nicole as one of the successful athletes because she is one of the sports icon that inspires many young Malaysians to accomplish the achievement that she had gain. I hope that the spirits that she performs and shows to us throughout this time, will inspire all of us to achieve such accomplishment like Datuk Nicole Ann David.

Early life


Nicole David was born on August 26, 1983, in Penang, Malaysia. During school, her favourite subject in class is mathematic because she wanted to become an engineer like her father, Desmon David. She received her education in Convent Green Lane Primary and Secondary School in Pulau Pinang. Nicole academic achievement are really impressive where she got flying colours in her PMR (Penilaian Menengah Rendah) and SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Menengah) where manage to obtain 7A’s. She was raised a Roman Catholic. She likes to travel and trying different food.

Nicole start to shows her interest in squash when she was 5 years old. In 1992 Nicole was short listed to represent her home state of Penang in Milo-Dunlop Spor National Junior Interstate Championship when she was trained at the Bukit Dumbar Squash Centre. She earn her first national title when she manage to obtain silver medal in the under 16 category.

Achievement


Datuk Nicole Ann David had numerous of achievements that she had accomplish throughout the time she play squash for our country. Here, I just include some of the highlight and brief summary achievement that she had succeed.


David was given the honour of carrying the Olympic torch for Malaysia during the build up to the Athens Olympics of 2004 and was appointed UNDP National Goodwill Ambassador for Malaysia. She had won several World Championship titles and also British Open  once in 2005 and twice in 2006. Nicol David's other notable achievements include the Asian Squash Championship, which she won with a record of eight times (in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011). She received the Order of Merit (Darjah Bakti) or D.B., becoming the first recipient of the award since its establishment in June 1975. Nicole had achieve a lot of award including when she was honoured with the Darjah Setia Pangkuan Award (DSPN) that got her the title ‘Datuk’ due to her outstanding achievement. She was recognized as the youngest person ever to have the tittle Datuk in Penang. From 2005 to 2010, Nicol David received the title of WISPA Player of the Year, six times in a row. She has won the World Open Championship consecutively five times from 2008 –2012 and the Asian Squash for a record eight times between 1998 and 2011.
